ChongQing Institute of Technology Library, founded in 1986, is divided into Yangjiaping Campus Library and Huaxi Campus Library, which possesses over 30000 squar metres of floor space . There are 16 halls, made up of about 2000 seats.
     The library has 52 formal librarians, of whom 42 librarians have undergraduate degree and 26 librarians have senior title. It has Departments of Administration Office, Acquistion&Catalog, Circulation, Reading, Technology, Magazine and Information.
     The library holds 1.6 million books on many mediums, which contains 620 thousands e-books. It has 15 databases consist of almost 7 TB data. Established by self, there are 20 thousands characteristic items of army industry, accountant, statistics and so on, besides the 200 thousands items of books in Chinese and west languange, and of magazines of journal. The disk raid system that contains 8 digital images of books, journalsand statistics that has totally over 10 TB data, is the largest information plat and resource houseware.
     With the idea of "Teaching Centered, Education Based on, Users Satisfied", followed the College's teaching and research, the library uses the pattern of Store-Lend-Manage-United, put the users first, make the service most important. Reading Halls offer retrieve equipments such as computer, copycat, and so on. The library's net resources are opened 24 hours a day. Open time of reading hall is over 100 hours per week. The Foreign Reference Hall is serviced by both Chinese and English, the latter is used more when take in users.
      Not only emphasize circulation and reading service, but also do the library expands information service to deep degree. By net, the library inaugurated Subject Information Guide and Digital Resource Using Guide to guide the College's key subject resources and to help users to retrieve famous database.
